White Velvet Okra

White Velvet okra is a rare, spineless heirloom variety dating back to the 1890s. Long, pale green to creamy white pods that are smooth to the touch, are tender and mild  and less gelatinous then green okras. It is an heirloom whose preservation has been encouraged by the Slow Food Foundation.
