Lovely, blocky red bell style pepper brought to Iowa by Italian immigrants Giovanni “John” Ausilio and Rachel P. Scarcello in the early 20th C. 4 – 5 inches L x 2 -2.5 inches W, the pepper is excellent for canning, stuffing, drying and frying. The family preserved and saved seeds, and Donated this heirloom to Seed Savers Exchange in 2015. Plants grow to 24 inchese tall, 70-80 days.
