Russian Pomegranate Salavatski

Small 1-2 year old seedlings (8 – 18 inches tall) grown from seeds from our highly productive Russian Pomegranate purchased from Edible Landscaping (https://ediblelandscaping.com/careguide/Pomegranate/).  This variety of pomegranate was developed by Dr. Levin in the former USSR at a research station in Tazikstan.  Produces large fruits with orange-red skin, and dark red, hard-seeded arils.  This variety is able to withstand some winter temperatures unlike commercially available “Wonderful” variety.  Prefers semi-arid, sunny, to partial shade.  Does best when sheltered from winter winds.
