Elecampane, Dyer

Blue dyer, medicinal perennial.  Grows to 8 feet.  Many side branches off of main stem with numerous bright yellow flowers from mid to late summer. Roots are used medicinally as an expectorant with antibacterial and antifungal properties.  Root yields blue dye and flowers yellow-orange.
